Astrocade S-Video Upgrade
Developed by 8-Bit Domain

This is a S-Video modification upgrade for the Astrocade sold on the 8-Bit Domain website. The annoucement for this product was made on Tuesday Nov 28, 2006 at 9:17 pm on the Bally Alley Yahoo Message board by the user multicart4me. This is the original message (edited a bit):

www.8bitdomain.com has released the first Svideo upgrade for
Bally Astrocade users.

Now you can upgrade you Bally video game system to crisp clean
Svideo and you don't even have to heat up your soldering iron.
Mod board is completely assembled & tested, and all cables are
prewired for you.

Just remove the 4 screws on the bottom of your Bally console,
unplug your RF modulator, replace with the video upgrade board.

Attach ground wire and mini-clip, drill holes in the back of your
console for the stereo audio jack and 4 pin mini-din and your done.

Over the next couple of weeks, several members of the message board ordered the upgrade and said that it worked very well. I ordered one myself and it does work well. I've used it as the input to my VideoXpress to capture video of the Astrocade. I also plan to use it for screen captures of BASIC games.

If you get a chance to pick one of these up, they are well worth the money and it is a very simple upgrade to install.
