Astrocade BASIC Demo Program "Astrocade BASIC Demo Program"
By George Moses and Mike Skala.
198x.
Source: Tape.
AstroBASIC.

A short demonstration of some of what is possible using "Astrocade BASIC." The demo ends by loading Mike Skala's "Frogway" as an example of a game that can be written in BASIC.

Household Budget Keeper "Household Budget Keeper"
By George Moses.
1982.
ARCADIAN 4, no. 12 (Oct. 07, 1982): 122. (Ad)
ARCADIAN 5, no. 2 (Dec. 3, 1982): 35. (Ad)
ARCADIAN 7, no. 1 (Jun. 01, 1985): 12. (Ad)
ARCADIAN 7, no. 4 (Aug. 15, 1986): 86. (Ad)
AstroBASIC.

This is probably the same as 'Home Budget Keeper' (it's not identical though).

Letter Writer "Letter Writer"
By George Moses.
198x.
Source: Ken Lill Tape Collection.
AstroBASIC.

"Letter Writer" was found in Ken Lill's tape collection. The garbage on the screen when the program is loading is correct. A Blue RAM BASIC version was on the same tape. As far as Paul knows, this program is not related to "Letter Writer" by Clyde Perkins.

Paul doesn't see anything that would print to an actual printer; it just prints a letter to the screen. The letter isn't in the code itself, so George must have saved it in the screen memory, which is why you see a bunch of seemingly random garbage when you load the program. This certainly wasn't easier than just writing a letter down, but it's interesting what people were able to make the Astrocade do.

Old Glory "Old Glory"
By E.P. Groebe (with music fixed by George Moses).
1984.
ARCADIAN 4, no. 8 (Jun. 11, 1982): 75-84. (Original Bally BASIC Printing)
ARCADIAN 6, no. 8 (Jun. 30, 1984): 69. (Music fixed for AstroBASIC)
AstroBASIC.

From "Arcadian, 1982: "This program uses one of the many Bally ROM subroutines to draw a color picture of the American flag."

From "Arcadian, 1984: "'Old Glory' was written by Ed Groebe some time ago, and appeared in Vol 4, page 77. While written in Bally BASIC, it also works in AstroBASIC (that we now have), but out mustic expert, George Moses, made a couple of small modifications to get the music to sound right."
