Sink the U-Boat By L&M Software Copyright 1980 Did you get an opportunity to sink any U-Boats during World War I? Well, probably not many of you did, so here is your change to do battle with a German U-Boat. "Sink the U-Boat" is a one-player game that pits your sub against a German U- Boat that is controlled by the computer. The playing field is divided in half and has 30 sections in each half. Each of these sections are numbered. Your half is numbered 31 thru 60 and the U-Boat's half is numbered 1 to 30. At the start of the game you will be asked for your sub location. This is entered via the keypad and must be a number between 31 and 60. After you have pressed "go," your sub will surface at the section you chose. Then you will be asked for your target location, this must be a number between 1 and 30. This is also entered via the keypad. The U-Boat is under one of the numbers on its' half of the field and should you hit that location, the U-Boat will be destroyed. Sound easy? Well it would be, except if you miss the U-Boat it will then surface from under the number it was hiding and fire a missile at one of your sections. Any section that has been fired upon by either you or the U-Boat will be eliminated from play and can not be used in any way again, by either you or the U-Boat, thus decreasing the size of the playing field.
